Review of Aweni Organics- Triple Treat Soap

Hey,

So i got itchy fingered and decided to purchase from this brand i have been eyeing like forever, Aweni organics. I found them on instagram at @aweniorganics and thought they had pretty decent reviews.

They have products ranging from bar soaps to liquid soaps to body butters and body oils. I got the Triple treat soap that looks like the image below.

First thoughts on my experience in buying from Aweni was customer service. i made the order via Instagram DM. The communication went really well and she was nice and answered all my questions without sounding impatient.

Then to the product itself, i received two bars of Triple treat soap for NGN3500 excluding delivery. I received my order in a branded paper bag and i thought, ecofriendly? Amazing!😊😊 The soap itself was wrapped in paper too just like the one in the image. It smelled really nice too. Although i thought it was bigger in the picture than in real life😁

On the label, it simply reads coconut oil ,olive oil, Shea butter so i am assuming its packed with organic goodness my skin will love. I used it same night i purchased it, blame in on the excitement.
It lathers really well and after washing off the lather, my skin felt clean without feeling dry. And my bathroom smelled amazing.

The reason i decided to try this product is because i want to even out my complexion. I had purchased a black soap that was doing great for my skin but left me with slightly darker feet and dark knuckles. I wasn't having it!

Its been two weeks of use and i see changes. I am slightly darker *shrugs*(that was expected) and my feet is eveing out with my leg. oh, and i have almost exhausted the first bar. I bath twice daily, everyday of the week.

Overall, I love this soap. Will I purchase again? Definitely, but i am willing to try out other variants available.

You can check them out on Instagram @aweniorgaincs or pop into The Mosé Store at Shop 8, Nelle Mall. Admiralty way, Lekki, Lagos. Nigeria.

xoxo

My 4c hair Journey So far

Phew! its been a long 3 years and 3 months (since my BC(Big Chop)) of learning, experiments, product trials and errors/success.
Although I am not much of a product junkie, my ntutu has had its fair share of product baptism especially DIY recipes by yours truly.
I can't say what length it is now *side eye* but,  when stretched, it gets to the base of my neck.

I really love my hair, can't explain how much. Like really really really love it. My hair is dark, very thick and coily. So you can imagine the shrinkage girl! about 80% after any wash.  I take great pride in it. So keeping it healthy is priority.

I remember when i first started 2 years ago, it was faced with a lot of challenge. But thank God for the Internet. Shout out to all the Natural hair bloggers, enthusiasts and all the natural sisters/brothers willing to encourage and share hair tips/products. Y'all are the real MVP!

I will like to share a few basic tips;
  1. Drink lots of water. Your hair will love you for it.
  2. If you have a T.W.A, please don't be too worried and discouraged about the length of your hair. It will grow. Just keep doing the right things to it. Patience is key.
  3. Eat right. Lots of organic veggies and fruits. Remember our hair and skin is a reflection of what we eat.
  4. Moisturize! Moisturize!! Moisturize!!!. Water is your best friend.
  5. I know you like to show off your beautiful hair, we all do . But darling, that tugging and pulling every morning and night when styling is no good to your hair. Put it in a protective style once in a while.
Rock your Fro, don't let nobody tell you nothing!

xoxo
